Why Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands-on approach for healing neuro-musculoskeletal issues throughout the entire body. Doctors of Chiropractic are specifically trained to detect and correct problems in the spine, often before the patient is even aware they exist. Our chiropractic care consists of a manual, gentle approach and treatments can include adjustments, massage modalities, applied kinesiology muscle testing, exercise therapy, stretches, lymphatic massage, emotional techniques, correcting various neurological/organ reflexes, and nutritional supplementation. There are many benefits of chiropractic treatment and people from all walks of life can experience it, including  newborns, children, and adolescents.

One of the main treatments used by chiropractors is the “adjustment.” This is a gentle and very specific manipulation of the spine, usually given by hand with the use of a specialized table or equipment. The chiropractor applies specific pressure by hand, using precise chiropractic techniques, to the areas of the spine that are out of proper alignment. The areas of the spine that are not moving properly within their normal range of motion are typically referred to as “misalignments.”

Many people associate chiropractic care with handling neck and/or back pain. While we are very successful at treating neck and back issues, our chiropractic care provides significantly more than just a solution for pain. We often have miraculous results in a person’s overall health from restoring normal nervous system function with chiropractic care. These are some of the benefits associated with chiropractic therapy:

  • Decreased pain

  • Improved joint health

  • Better organ function

  • Increased range of motion

  • Optimized muscle activation

  • Decreased degeneration of joint and connective tissues

  • Reduced inflammation

  • Improved nervous system function

  • Strengthened immune system
